The Mustela Foundation, created in 1982 and operating under the aegis of the Fondation de France, promotes work and projects concerning child development and community relations.

Mustela Foundation timeline

1982:
Creation of the Mustela Foundation by Laboratoires Expanscience to "promote work and projects concerning child development and community relations" by awarding research grants.

1986:
Publication of the first information and prevention pack for use in infant care.

1988:
First annual study trip, introducing fifteen childcare professionals and specialised journalists to a healthcare system in another European country.

1993:
Publication of the first obstetrics information and prevention pack.

1999:
Publication of the first paediatrics information and prevention pack.

2004:
Production and distribution of the first breast-feeding theme study in partnership with the French Coordination for Maternal Breastfeeding (CoFAM).

2006:
Launch of the Social Paediatrics Prize in partnership with the French Paediatrics Society to promote projects improving positive treatment of children and their families.

2007:
Creation of the research-action award.
Launch of the Social Paediatrics prize in Italy, in the form of the Prix de l'École de l'Atopie (Atopy School Prize) to support a project to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from atopic dermatitis.
