Breastfeeding Files
Following the success of the Breastfeeding Files for healthcare professionals, the Mustela Foundation has published, in time for the World Breastfeeding Week from 12 to 19 October 2009, a special edition entitled “Breastfeeding: the essential points”, bringing together the key points of the first five published editions.
The files aim to accompany health professionals in their daily practice, bringing precise answers to concrete questions they as well as mothers and mothers-to-be may need answering. These files are aimed at various professionals: midwives, paediatric nurses, chemists, paediatricians…
They are created by the Mustela Foundation in partnership with the CoFAM [French Breastfeeding Committee] and Doctor Gisèle GREMMO-FEGER, neonatologist paediatrician and breastfeeding consultant at the CHU de Brest teaching hospital, and coordinator for the inter-university Diploma “Human lactation and breastfeeding”.
To best accompany mothers and future mothers who have chosen to breastfeed, the Mustela Foundation has also drawn up a pad of detachable information sheets for them to use. These sheets bring together essential addresses and contact details to help mothers successfully breastfeed their baby.
